Movies I Watched in the Last Week
1) The Colony - Y'know, I'm okay with a cheesy post-apocalyptic movie being overly dour, full of bad acting, and generally bland and uninspired. I kind of expect my cheesy post-apocalyptic movies to be dour, histrionic, and tasteless. But what I'm not okay with... is another fucking zombie movie. Jesus Christ, guys. All you had to do was not have zombies in your movie and I would have bumped it up by two stars.
My Rating: 1 / 5
2) The Unbelievers - I appreciate a good exploration of skepticism and reason. Especially when we live in a world where the people who speak the loudest are seen as "right," regardless of the facts. But I guess I'm still a little disappointed in this movie. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it just didn't feel like it did a lot more than briefly introduce and summarize the mission of Dawkins and Krauss. I guess that's as good a reason as any for a documentary to exist... maybe I'm just being too demanding. Hard to make an appealing documentary for somebody who's already familiar with the subject matter.

Minutes I Spent Writing in the Last Week
The Winner: Movies...
No surprise here. Since I spent so much time trying to win at NaNoWriMo last month, I've been spending most of December so far catching up on all the stuff I ignored in November. Like, say, dishes.
Did I just accidentally admit that I live in squalor? Pay no mind. Move along.
