Movies I Watched in the Last Week

1) Underworld: Evolution - I watched this for my side blog.  It's really confusing.

My Rating: 2 / 5

2) The Two Faces of January - I found this a tad too slow-paced, but other than that, it's a great movie.  What I really like about it is how it squeezes tension out of some of the simplest and even most mundane things.  Probably the best sequence in the movie is just a guy walking through an airport and pretending not to be suspicious while cops walk all around him.  He's not running, nobody's screaming, and the music isn't even especially fast - but it's a white-knuckle sequence.  Definitely a great low-key thriller to check out when you're tired of big-budget noise.

My Rating: 4 / 5

3) Better Living Through Chemistry - I'd love to say that I liked this movie since it was filmed in all my old neighborhoods and I liked the cast, but this was a pretty lame comedy. If the directors were as good at writing jokes as they were at directing, then you'd be looking at a 4-star rating.

My Rating: 2 / 5

...and November is over without a single hour of actual work on my part.  Wow.  I better hope I get some stuff done in December or I'll have to really start feeling ashamed.
