Movies I Watched in the Last Week

1) Inside Out - Good God.  I know from experience how badly Pixar jerks some tears, and I was warned by literally everyone who saw this movie, and yet I still wasn't prepared for the onslaught.  My couch is still stained from the ugly crying last weekend.

Y'know what, Pixar?  Y'know something?  When a character is already clearly making a sacrifice and your audience is already bawling from the hour of emotional roller-coastering you've just put them on, you don't need to twist the knife by giving that character the most gut-wrenching one liner in your movie.  You dicks.  Stop making such good movies some time, huh?

My Rating: 5 / 5

2) Best of the Best 4: Without Warning - I watched this for my side blog.  I liked it.  It's dreck, but it's a refreshing change of pace from the usual dreck I watch.

My Rating: 3.5 / 5

3) Electric Boogaloo: The Wild, Untold Story of Cannon Films - I hate the title, but I love this movie.  It's a fantastic documentary about a film company that I somehow knew very little about going into it, but whose output I've (regrettably) enjoyed consistently.  This is virtually a must-watch for any fan of film history and a solid recommendation for anybody who has even just a passing interest in trashy movies.

My Rating: 5 / 5

Total: 3 Movies

Minutes I Spent Writing in the Last Week

1) Untitled Post-Apocalyptic Novel - About 1 hour of writing.  First draft length: 29,000 words.

Total: 1 Hour

The Winner: Movies...

I'd write more commentary down here, but I'm still crying from Inside Out.
