Movies I Watched in the Last Week
1) San Andreas - I'm not a disaster movie fan, so I have to rate movies like this on a bit of a curve. Leaving aside the inherent frustration I have with watching a small group of relatively well-to-do white folks cry their way through one sticky situation after another while everybody else in the world dies around them, I just don't find them that appealing. So all I'm really looking for is good special effects, creative action scenes, and a couple of decent one-liners. Fortunately, San Andreas has The Rock in it, which solves a lot of problems with the genre. Also, it's under 2 hours. Huge plus.
My Rating: 3.5 / 5
2) The Hallow - I'm giving this a high rating in terms of filmmaking merit alone, but I don't know that I want to revisit it ever again. There's something both good and bad about a horror movie that disturbs you this much.
My Rating: 4 / 5
3) Cinderella - ...um. It's a Cinderella movie. Again.
My Rating: 3 / 5, I guess?

The Winner: Movies...
This month is getting nuts. I've barely had time to write a memo this week, let alone a novel. I hope I'm going to get some relief on this soon or I'm going to fall way behind.
